Keeping Dogs in Homes — Not Shelters
Sometimes people love their dog deeply, but daily life with a badly behaved dog, who may even be aggressive overwhelming.
Maybe the dog is reactive, destructive, dangerous, anxious, hard to walk, jumping on guests, barking constantly, or struggling to settle at home.
The current cost of living and the increase in price of everything can make dog training feel financially out of reach, and surrendering or re-homing may start to feel like the only option.
Our Re-home Prevention Program exists to change that.
If better behaviour and better communication could help prevent your dog being re-homed or euthanised, we want to help.
Our goal is simple:
Help dogs stay safely and successfully in the homes that love them.

FAQ
“Do I have to prove financial hardship?”
No. We aim to keep this process respectful and supportive.
“Will you judge me?”
Absolutely not. Many people reach a difficult point with their dog. Seeking help is a responsible step.
“Can every behaviour issue be fixed?”
Not always completely, but many situations improve dramatically with the right guidance and management. We will always be brutally honest on if we genuinely think you have what it takes to be able to keep your dog. Sometimes some dogs are extremely strong and dangerous, and their owners may not have the physical ability to safely control the them.
“What if I feel embarrassed asking for help?”
You are not alone. Many loving dog owners reach a point where they feel overwhelmed, exhausted, or unsure what to do next. Asking for help is a responsible and compassionate step.
“Does needing help mean I’m a bad dog owner?”
Absolutely not. Dogs can come with challenges that people are unprepared for, especially rescue dogs, adolescent dogs, or dogs struggling with anxiety and reactivity. Support and guidance can make a huge difference.
“How do I know if I qualify for the program?”
This program is intended for people who are struggling financially, emotionally, or practically with their dog and may be considering re-homing or surrender. Every application is reviewed individually and compassionately.
“Will training fix my dog immediately?”
Behaviour change takes time, consistency, and support. Our goal is progress, improved communication, reduced stress, and helping your dog become easier to live with safely and realistically.
“What if I’ve already tried training before?”
That’s okay. Many people come to us after trying classes, online advice, or previous trainers without success. Every dog and household is different, and we focus on practical solutions that fit real life
“What if I cannot afford even the discounted rate?”
We understand every situation is different. In some cases, payment plans, group options, sponsored sessions, or free educational resources may be available.
“Do you guarantee that my dog can stay in my home?”
While we cannot guarantee outcomes, our mission is to give families support, education, and realistic strategies before re-homing becomes the only option.
“Why do you offer this program?”
Because many dogs enter shelters due to preventable behaviour struggles, lack of support, or financial barriers to training. We believe helping families earlier can keep more dogs safely in loving homes.
